Wesley Robinson, D.M.D.

Dr. Robinson is a North Carolina native, graduating from North Carolina State University with his Bachelor of Science degree, and earning his Doctorate of Dental Medicine with honors from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine. While in dental school, Dr. Robinson won numerous awards, including the Quintessence Biological award, US Army Health Professions Scholarship award and was elected into the prestigious honorary dental fraternity, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He went on to further his dental education by accepting an orthodontic residency position at Oregon Health Sciences University.

Military Dental Experience

Upon completion of his orthodontic training, Dr. Robinson entered active duty in the United States Army, where he served for three years and achieved the rank of Major. He served as Chief of Orthodontics at the Love Dental Clinic and Martin Army Community Hospital in Columbus, GA, where he also mentored residents in the General Practice Residency Program. He served as the orthodontic advisor for the hospital’s Craniofacial Board and the Orthognathic Surgery Review Board, where both teams assembled to treat complex conditions such as cleft lip and palate and other severe dental and skeletal problems.

A Leader in Orthodontics

Dr. Robinson loves the field of orthodontics and gives back to his profession anytime he has the opportunity. He has lectured nationally on orthodontic technique, practice efficiency, and the latest in orthodontic technology. His work has been published in various scientific and dental journals, and orthodontic offices in the community often visit to observe the latest in technology and practice efficiency. Dr. Robinson is involved in organized dentistry and orthodontics and holds memberships with many associations, including:

  • Metrolina Dental Society 

At Home and In the Local Community

A native of Brevard, North Carolina, Dr. Robinson currently resides in Mint Hill with his wife, Tara; their three amazing children; and a dog named Penelope. He enjoys being active and can be found playing tennis, fly fishing, and snow skiing in his free time. He also likes reading and playing the guitar.

Dr. Robinson is committed to the community where he lives and works. He is very active in Mint Hill, Matthews, and Union County athletics, where he coaches baseball and soccer, and sponsors many activities including dances, field days, tennis tournaments, mission trips, and gym uniforms for local schools and churches.
